Dr Tony GankoTony Ganko is an orthopaedic surgeon who completed his orthopaedic training in Queensland. He has completed fellowship training in knee surgery and lower limb arthroplasty with Mr John Bartlett in Melbourne, before travelling to Oslo, Norway to complete a fellowship in sports medicine and cartilage replacement.

Dr Ganko currently has a private practice in general orthopaedics with an emphasis on knee surgery and sports injury, as well as lower limb arthroplasty. Cartilage remains an area of interest.

He has had two recent publications in the orthopaedic literature, one on complications of meniscal repair in the American Journal of Sports Medicine, and the other, a controlled trial comparing knee ligament testers, published in the Journal of Knee Surgery, Sports Traumatology and Arthroscopy.

His private practice is based at the Arnold Janssen Centre on Wickham Terrace in Brisbane as well as suburban clinics in Chermside and North West Hospital. His public commitments are at the Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane. Dr Ganko has also commenced a regular outpatients clinic at Greenslopes Private Hospital servicing Veterans and private patients.
